![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It has a built-in database of more than 3000 cities worldwide but users can add any number of custom locations. Verdict:Ī little on the expensive side, EarthTime is easy to use and good-looking world clock.EarthTime displays the local time and date of any place in the world. Rather than having to work out how far ahead or behind that country is and setting an alarm in your local time, you can instead select a foreign city and set an alarm using its local time. You may well want to be notified when it is morning on the other side of the world so you can make a phone call at a reasonable hour. This in itself may sound like nothing special, but there is a slight twist. Colors can also be customized and there is an attractive full screen mode which can be used almost like a screensaver.Īnother useful feature of the program is the ability to set alarms. Head to the settings screen and you can add and remove locations as required. If there are only a few cities that you are interested in tracking, you may well not want to be distracted by any others. There is fairly extensive scope for customization, starting off with the city list that appears at the top of the program window. The map itself is pulled in in real time and shows you cloud coverage based on current weather data. ![]() Clicking any of these location names will highlight that city of the map, and you can already see what the local time is. The application takes a very visual approach to things, presenting you with a map of the world topped with a series of common cities. EarthTime is, however, a very attractive program for monitoring worldwide time with a wonderful GUI. Windows own clock can be configured to display the time in different time zones, and while this is a functional solution, it is not the most attractive one. If you know people who live in other countries, or you conduct business on an international level, you need to take into account what time it is in other parts of the world. ![]() ![]() ![]() Regardless, HiFi Plus is the only option to consider on the SQ table in my opinion - though, admittedly, that monthly price point may be a turn-off for the more frugal amongst us.Īs I tend to do with all my streaming listening sessions, I mix and match headphone listening (over-ear Sennheisers, AirPods Pro earbuds) and free-air sessions while rotating through my iPhone, HP laptop, and Roku Ultra routines. Discounts are applied to the plans designated as Family (up to five additional accounts for $14.99/month), Student (50 percent off), and Military (40 percent off), so you may want to consider one of those routes if any of them fit your lifestyle. We audiophiles need only concern ourselves with the HiFi Plus plan, which commences with a 30-day free trial before running $19.99/month for access to Dolby Atmos, Master Quality Audio, and 360 Reality Audio content at 24/96 and up. An ad-free HiFi level adds 350,000 videos to the pot and runs $9.99/month for lossless offerings - all well and good for the slightly above-average listener, but not us. Yes, there is a Free level that provides, in their words, “Good Sound Quality” for 80 million songs - but only at a most basic 16-bit/44.1kHz, mind you. ![]() ![]() Like pretty much every streaming service these days, Tidal offers a number of listening option tiers. Seeing how we’ve yet to devote an entire Stream On column to this uber-popular platform, we felt it was high time to dive headfirst into the Tidal streaming pool. In recent years, the streaming giant has doubled down on the ways it offers a multi-genre cornucopia of streaming content in a number of hi-res-friendly ways. ![]() Tidal has literally rolled with the changes over the course of its 7.5 years (and counting) being nestled in our collective streaming consciousness. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you want to know the base frequency pertaining to your processor, then this section will highlight such data. OK, so when it comes down to the CPU performance area, it is similar to CPU data wherein it only shows the information, but there is no ability to interact. Now, everything under this area can only be viewed, so do not attempt to interact. It will show the name of the processor, the codename, the Lithography, socket, and more. This section is perfect if you lack certain knowledge of the processor inside of your computer. For example, you can change the System power plan, System power state, check CPU temperature, speed, and more. This section showcases information that has to do with the power of your computer. OK, so from the Main Menu, you should see quite a few options, and one of them is Power Data. ![]()

So what are your favorites? What are the games you've played that genuinely excel in the mobile space? For me, I think I have just discovered the best mobile game I've ever played, and I'm absolutely obsessed with it. But I'm sure different people have different spaces where mobile gaming is fun for them. Personally I think the best mobile games are ones that very easy to pick up or put away at a moments notice, and can fill a short amount of time without feeling like you have to get to a certain checkpoint in order to stop or something. BUT I also think it's fair to say that there is a place for mobile gaming and that mobile games are not inherently bad. predatory game design, "pay to win" schemes, bucketloads of shovelware, and a control interface that many would consider inferior to any console or computer. And I also think it's fair to say that there are actually plenty of valid reasons to dislike mobile games. ![]() ![]() I think it is fair to say that among people who play a lot of games there is sometimes a negative perception of "mobile" (ios or android) games.
